~Figurines~

Happy 2014 Friends!! For the first post of 2014, let me share a post about my figurines~!

DSC01149

I am not a crazy figurine collector, but…once you see one worth collecting, I am sure you wouldn’t resist!

DSC01146

The above figurines were the very first ones I have received as gifts from parents and relatives. I have no idea from which anime the most left one is from though… The Sailor Moon figurine on the right is not of really good quality, it becomes sticky after a while and collects dust as you can see in the picture.

Next in my little collection is Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, he came along with Kamiya Kaoru when I was on a trip in Hong Kong with my family. At first sight I fell in love with him since I was crazy with the anime and manga at the time. I loved the details the figurine has, it captured well the expression of Kenshin, and loved even more his Sakabatou!! But…my brother broke one of it few years ago!! (T_T)

I didn’t mean to take the last photo above, but I did, niahahaha~Kenshin Face Plank! Below you can see where the Sakabatou is damaged…I have no idea how it broke in the first place!

Who is this beautiful lady? She is…(Mysterious voice: "You already spoiled her name above, バカ") alright, Kamiya Kaoru san!

DSC01140

I like her kimono, but why is she standing in such an inclined way!? Her facial expression is not that perfect as I had expected though.

There were also figurines of Sagara Sanosuke and Saitoh Hajime on sale if my memory is good, but since I wasn’t the one paying, I preferred not to ask for more~! But when you start working and earning…hehehehehehehehehhehehehehe~

While going to the Y zone in Taipei Main Station with my friend, I fell in love with her at first sight! Yes! And she is….

Hatsune Miku chan~! I was hesitating to buy it on the first visit, then on the last visit to the Y zone before I came back to Mauritius, I finally went for her and bought her~Together with…

Asuna from Sword Art Online~! Another cute figurine I fell in love with at first sight too!

Aren’t they cute together? (WHUT?!)

On the same day I got the two figurines above, my sister, Miki, out of curiosity and fun, tried the Capsule Toy Machine which was holding Shingeki no Kyojin capsules~As result of the two trials, we’ve got…

Levi, always so angry, and Eren, always so shocked~!

Eren, always so shocked, and nope, Miku is not a Kyojin…

~Happy Halloween~

31st October, the day where creepy decorations will be set up, and kids wearing costumes, going from door to door for the Trick or Treat! Personally, I have never celebrated Halloween when I lived in Mauritius, nor in Taiwan. But this year, at POWERLIFE Pilates, where I currently work, we have decided to have fun by transforming the studio…into a haunted one!
Together with the teachers, we have decorated the studio with bats, spiders, spider webs, some other shapes cut from non woven fabrics, and some creepy items and photos~It was really fun to do so, even if it was time taking to set everything up. But I feel really satisfied every time when a student comes in and gets scared by the decor and the creepy atmosphere we have created using lights covered with green or red colored cellophane paper, and halloween themed music continously haunting their heads. Niahahaha~
So, let’s see how the studio appears in the daylight:

And…at night…(O vwv O)

The teachers even asked my sister (Miki's Café) to prepare some cookies for the event! She spent a lot of time designing the biscuits and mixing up to get the right colors.

Personally I have tasted them, to my surprise, the level of sweetness is adequate and goes well with the cookie itself. From the feedback of the teachers and students who ate them, they were GOOD! I am so proud of my sister! (> w <)
Happy Halloween People!

~Fall of Wall Taiwan~

I attended the Fan event of Shingeki no Kyojin, Free! and Kuroko no Basket today (All three at the same time)! More precisely, I went there for Fall of Wall, i.e., the Shingekii no Kyojin one, as I have not watched the two other animes yet.

The venue was at San Chong Sports Center, Taiwan

DSC00566

The event starts at 11 a.m. but people can start queuing up at 8 a.m. Me being naive that maybe not many people would go and the one who could not wake up early in the morning, I reached at around 10:45 a.m. and was surprised with the number of people there, and the majority, Girls, of course! The queue was like a snake in kilometers, going round the center. I bought my ticket at 150TWD, got a brochure about the layout of the venue, fan groups attending and their respective stalls. Rules and regulations are also clearly listed.

DSC00569

I waited an hour before making it into the venue itself, standing outside in the strong gusts, now imagine the number of people already present at the venue in that one hour!! On entering, I had to present my NIC to prove that I am actually more than 18 years old, as there were fanfictions or fan drawn mangas which were 18+. The staff also stamped each attendee’s hand so that the attendees are free to go outside and return when they want to. People intending to take photos at the Photoshooting zone have to pay an extra 50TWD to get a sticker Pass, and can only take photos of the cosplayers present at the zone, photos cannot be taken outside that zone, not even in the seller’s zone. This is the reason for the lack of photos about the stalls, as it was prohibited and staff were there to make sure that the rules are respected~

Once entered, I moved quickly towards Reika’s stand, she was present with Hiiro, and was selling her cosplay album and postcards. But…queues again~! I was worried that the album got sold out, and…it was! (T_T) Was kind of disappointed, yet luckily, some postcards remained, and I got myself one! Yay~! Actually, it was for my sister, who is really a big fan of Reika! I was also lucky enough to get her signature on the postcard later the same day. Reika is such a nice and polite person, with a cute voice too! I only managed to speak a little bit of simple Japanese with her as I was both excited and shy to do so!

DSC00570

Then I headed to the photoshooting zone to take photos of the cosplayers~! I was shy at first, unable to make the first move to ask for the cosplayer’s permission, but it seemed that they were shy too. So I took courage and asked two cosplayers who were near me, took some photos and thanked them. I find it really nice to see photographers thanking the cosplayers after each end of shooting, it shows the photographer’s appreciation and gratitude towards the efforts and coorperation of the cosplayer.

After that, I walked around the venue, visiting the stalls, but did not buy any thing more as I am not a big fan of BL/GL stuff. There were cute items too! But I had to hold on to my wallet to make sure I have enough money to buy food for the rest of this month, haha~!
