~Fall of Wall Taiwan~

I attended the Fan event of Shingeki no Kyojin, Free! and Kuroko no Basket today (All three at the same time)! More precisely, I went there for Fall of Wall, i.e., the Shingekii no Kyojin one, as I have not watched the two other animes yet.

The venue was at San Chong Sports Center, Taiwan

The event starts at 11 a.m. but people can start queuing up at 8 a.m. Me being naive that maybe not many people would go and the one who could not wake up early in the morning, I reached at around 10:45 a.m. and was surprised with the number of people there, and the majority, Girls, of course! The queue was like a snake in kilometers, going round the center. I bought my ticket at 150TWD, got a brochure about the layout of the venue, fan groups attending and their respective stalls. Rules and regulations are also clearly listed.

I waited an hour before making it into the venue itself, standing outside in the strong gusts, now imagine the number of people already present at the venue in that one hour!! On entering, I had to present my NIC to prove that I am actually more than 18 years old, as there were fanfictions or fan drawn mangas which were 18+. The staff also stamped each attendee’s hand so that the attendees are free to go outside and return when they want to. People intending to take photos at the Photoshooting zone have to pay an extra 50TWD to get a sticker Pass, and can only take photos of the cosplayers present at the zone, photos cannot be taken outside that zone, not even in the seller’s zone. This is the reason for the lack of photos about the stalls, as it was prohibited and staff were there to make sure that the rules are respected~

Once entered, I moved quickly towards Reika’s stand, she was present with Hiiro, and was selling her cosplay album and postcards. But…queues again~! I was worried that the album got sold out, and…it was! (T_T) Was kind of disappointed, yet luckily, some postcards remained, and I got myself one! Yay~! Actually, it was for my sister, who is really a big fan of Reika! I was also lucky enough to get her signature on the postcard later the same day. Reika is such a nice and polite person, with a cute voice too! I only managed to speak a little bit of simple Japanese with her as I was both excited and shy to do so!

Then I headed to the photoshooting zone to take photos of the cosplayers~! I was shy at first, unable to make the first move to ask for the cosplayer’s permission, but it seemed that they were shy too. So I took courage and asked two cosplayers who were near me, took some photos and thanked them. I find it really nice to see photographers thanking the cosplayers after each end of shooting, it shows the photographer’s appreciation and gratitude towards the efforts and coorperation of the cosplayer.

After that, I walked around the venue, visiting the stalls, but did not buy any thing more as I am not a big fan of BL/GL stuff. There were cute items too! But I had to hold on to my wallet to make sure I have enough money to buy food for the rest of this month, haha~!
